From the Vosges plateau or the Colmar region, heading down South via the « Grand Ballon », the « Route des Crêtes » making use only of nice departemental roads to sneak into Switzerland. « Gorges du Pichoux » will follow and then the unavoidable Swiss highways and their compulsory tag.
Welcome, Fribourg and Bulle through highways and exit to pass by Gruyère. Superb landscapes and typical Swiss valleys.
Crossing of the pre-Alps via Château d’Oex, Leysin, Aigle and Martigny.
The Entremont valley leads you to the Grand St-Bernard pass. Accessible throughout the year. From November until June, you shall make use of the tunnel and the mountain carved access roads. In the summer, starting from June, feel free to ride the pass and the downhill to Etroubles and Aoste.
The RB leads us away from the city of Aoste, via a long tunnel and the highway until St-Vincent.
There, a last magnificient pass as a « cherry on the top », the « Col di Joux » and the arrival into Val d’Ayas.
Brusson, Champoluc and Challand St-Anselme are the places for accommodation opportunities.
