From Oberharmersbach through Steinach towards Elzach, the Heidburg (520 m, 1706 ft) pass is exactly located between Halslach and Elzach, and remains the connection between the Kinzig and Eltz valleys. From Gutach in Birsgau, passing through the Simonswäldertal by means of nice road, Wildgutach towards St. Märgen. Then Breitenau, Hinterzarten towards the Titisee. The Titisee finds its origin in the ice age. 10 000 years ago, a glacier was spreading between the Feldberg and today's lake, its basin forming today's sitting. Direction the largest lake of the Balck Forest with a surface of 500 hectares, a length of 7,5 kilometres (4,63 Miles), width of 1,4 kilometres (0,865 Miles) at its largest point and depth of 61 metres (200 ft). The Schluchsee. At the end of the 20's a dike is burried in the landscape and despite its dimensions (250 m-820 ftlength and 35 m-115 ft height) remains almost invisible. The facility is used for the production of electricity through the plants of Schluchsee (930 m – 3050 ft), Häusern (723 m – 2370 ft), Witznau (475 m – 1558 ft) and Waldshut (340 m – 1115 ft) before disappearing in the Rhine (300 m – 984 ft) 25 kilometres (15,4 Miles) further. From the Schluchsee, let's go to Häusern, St. Balsien and Bernau towards Utzenfeld. The road climbs towards Wieden then goes down towards Münstertal. Halfway, turn towards Notschreipuis Oberried, Kirchzaten, Stegen, St. Peter and the Kandel. The latter is 1243 metres (4078 ft) high, and from the top upon clear sky a magnificient vue spreads towards the Rhine valley, the Kaiserstuhl, the Vosges and the high Black Forrest. Go down from the Kandel towards Waldkirch, Gutach im Breisgau. And the return Biederbach, Schweighausen towards Steinach. Fischerbach and Waldhäusern lead us to Oberharhmersbach.
