Road Books

What is a Road Book ? Definition and ICI terminology

Thanks to RoadTracer PRO, you become in a blink a professional road book editor. Either tapping from the library of road books available on the internet, or using the user friendly interface of RoadTracer, you will quickly master all the tricks that will allow you to produce a professional grade road book on your own.

Tap from the downloadable road books

  • Thanks to the site navigation tools you identify the road book(s) you prefer (based on geographical, riding style, supplier, ... criteria, etc)
  • Load them in your PC and display them in RoadTracer
  • Modify them if you feel like doing so
  • Send them into your RoadMaster
  • Ride them enjoying the nature while keeping your chosen pace, fluent or sporty

Edition of your personal road books

  • Either tracing your first project on a map, with the possibility to choose precisely where to ride (down to 20m scale). Let the system extract for you the relevant waypoints and generate the dot-arrows symbols. Add your personal touch or information and you are ready to output map and road book at the chosen page format.
  • Or ride a scouting trip and record your trace with the RoadMaster. Back at home, you edit your track by means of the software. Suppress the eventual useless sections (U-turns, sections of lesser interest). Let the software capture (snap) your track to the road system, extract the waypoints and generate the dot-arrows symbols. Add your personal touch based on details you have noted on the field (chapel here, crossing lights there, friendly pub there, ...) and you are ready to output map and road book at the chosen page format.
  • Once you have finished your road book, you are free to share it through our website with the rest of the community.  Under your own name (personal or organisation) with additional comments and pictures ensuring a large visibility for your work.
